Plantronics has announced a new design for the legendary CS family of wireless headsets. The new CS500 units have a sleek new look and improved performance with the same great reliability as the older CS series headsets. Plus Plantronics has added brand new features that make them more intelligent than ever. The new CS500 family will have a longer distance in range, better clarity for a more natural sounding voice and ease of subscribing a new headset to base. Check out some of the new or improved upon features listed for the new Plantronics CS500 wireless headsets. I think you will like what you see.
- The CS540 (will be replacing the CS55) is the lightest wireless headset on the market today.
- Roaming Distance is now up to 350 feet.
- Choose between Narrowband Mode to preserve talk time or Wideband Mode for clearer conversations.
- You can now conference in up to 3 additional headsets.
- Subscribe new headsets to base by simply docking the headset.
- DSP: Digital Signal Processing*provides more natural sounding voice.
- Dect 6.0: New voice-dedicated DECT technology eliminates Wi-Fi interference from other networks.
- Adaptive power system optimizes for range and talk time.
- Advanced wideband audio using CAT-Iq technology enables clearer conversations.
- Update: EHS (Electronics Hook Switch) adapters for the older CS-series models are not compatible (as previously thought) to the new CS500 series but the EHS adapters for the Savi series are compatible with the new CS500 units.

What an informative site! I like your table with the comparison of the different models. My favorite headset from Plantronics is the cs 540 though.
