The CS50-USB wireless headset and charging base unit are originally subscribed or paired to each other. If your CS50-USB headset breaks or you loose it and a replacement headset is necessary, you will have to “re-subscribe” or “pair” the new CS50-USB headset to the base unit. This is a very simple process that takes only 2-3 minutes and a paper clip will be required. You will first need to purchase the replacement CS50 headset. (Part number 64402-14 has been discontinued). Please be aware that if you have the CS50, you will need replacement headset model number Plantronics 64402-14 (which has been discontinued). Although the CS50 and CS50 headsets look the same, they are not interchangeable. The Subscription process is as follows:
Return the CS50-USB headset to the headset base/charging cradle.
Use a paper clip to push and hold the subscription button (located on the back of the base, just above the white sticker reading “CS50-USB” ) in for 5-10 seconds and then release.
Press and hold the volume/mute button, located at the end of the headset, until the headset flashes with a green light.
Successful re-subscription is indicated when the headset light is solid green and the red light on the base goes out.
Note: If re-subscription fails within 2 minutes the CS50-USB headset will return to the un-subscribed state. Try the re-subscription process again.
