Comparing
the 510 & Voyager Pro - Hamilton W from Scottsdale,
AZ
I did a comparison of the 510 and the new Voyager Pro yesterday in the
car. Bottom line, the 510 sounded more normal in normal situations (my
Element, air on, 40-65 mph). The report on the Pro vs. the 510: voice
sounds more modulated; clips the voice a bit more (less natural) at
beginning and end of speech; completely blocks background noise to zero
when I'm not speaking, which both people I tested with said felt weird,
like they weren't sure if they had lost the connection. The Pro is
more comfortable on the ear and people sound a little better to me, and
wins on coolness factor, but my justification needed to be an
improvement in my voice. Where the Pro was hands-down the winner was in
high noise. I sat in a left turn lane at 5PM with cars going both ways
at about 50 mph with both windows rolled completely down. With NO
background noise for the person at the other end. They reported a
moment of noise when the headset was I suppose "hearing" the noise,
then, bang, the noise just vanished. That is extraordinary. This
would be a fantastic choice for someone who travels and is in a variety
of environments, or someone who likes to drive with a window open or
someone with a loud vehicle. Also, you should know, the voice quality
in normal situations is fine, it is just not quite as natural as the
510.
Voyager Pro
- Jordan J from Owensboro KY
I just purchased the voyager pro a few days ago and the
sound is great when I'm talking to people the comfort is also great but
the down sides it can be a little hard to put on when your in a hurry
and the charger plug can be a little hard to undo but I love the headset
overall plan to use it for a long time.
