Plantronics old vs. new quick disconnect (QD)

Plantronics started using the black quick disconnect (the connection between the headset and amplifier) in 1975.  The connection was changed in 1992 when the new M10 universal amplifier was introduced.  The connection was similar, but not compatible with the prior Supra models of headsets.  The below picture will compare the old versus the new quick disconnect connection.
