Noise Canceling Headsets

What is Noise Canceling?  Plantronics offers two different styles of headset microphones.  A standard voice tube version and a fixed boom with a noise canceling microphone.
Noise-canceling refers to a microphone design that greatly reduces the transmission of background noise, enhancing headset sound quality.  Noise-canceling headsets are especially effective for offices with employees in close proximity to one another. In mobile applications, noise-canceling headsets reduce background noise in cars, airports or on the street.  Noise-canceling headsets will target the users voice, and dampen the background noise picked up by the microphone.  It doesn't completely eliminate background noise, but will greatly reduce it.  Noise-canceling headsets will cost a little more, but for the added benefit of a caller being able to hear you more clearly, will make up for the extra expense.   You will save time in not repeating information and the accuracy will be higher with the use of noise canceling headsets.
