The New S12 A/C transformer plug is slightly larger and has "500mA" typed above the plug.

Hello. I have an old type Plantronics S12 and have lost the AC adapter. Do you know the Milliamps involved? I have found a variety of plug types at Radio Shack, but need to zoom in on the type of 9V adapter to purchase! Sincerely, Alan

First, you'll notice that Plantronics made a change on the size of the male pin of the a/c jack in the back of the amplifier of their new S12's.
Second, they also changed the shape of the a/c adapter. Here are the two links for you to look at. The older S12 with the smaller pin is part # 73079-01. The newer S12 with the larger pin is part # 45671-01. As far as the output, they're both DC9V and 500 Milli-amps.
